Technology Support Initiative To
Bring NGOs Into The Digital Age
With many NGO's and non-profit organizations in
Jamaica still to fully exploit the potential of the
Internet and its related technologies, Interlinc
Communications, Jamaica's premier New Media Agency
launched its Technology Support Initiative (TSI).
Under the TSI, Interlinc Communications has
committed to under-writing up to $10 million worth
of new media services in 2007 for NGOs and
Charitable organizations in Jamaica wishing to take
advantage of the internet by setting up and managing
websites. The TSI is offering more than just basic
web-presence to NGOs, in fact, capacity and skills
building is a key component of the project, and
Interlinc will conduct individual onsite training
workshops with each NGO, to not only showcase the
technology, but also educate the NGOs about the
fundamentals of managing their new online presence.
Each qualifying NGO will be provided with a
sophisticated online portal for their organization,
designed using a database-enabled Content Management
System for simplified management
