| Young,
talented and definitely on the cutting edge of
information technology, Marcel is one of Jamaica’s
emerging entrepreneurs in the Media, Communications
& Technology Industry. In 2000, at 21 Marcel became the youngest member
of the Jamaica
Chamber of Commerce (JCC) a 221-year old
organization, where he currently Chairs the
Information Technology and sits as a Director on the
Entrepreneurial Management and Junior Achievement
Committees.
As the President & Chief
Executive of Interlinc Communications, since January
2001, Marcel brings
a distinctively youthful, energetic, yet very
focused approach to the business. Marcel has been
with Interlinc Communications since 1994, and has
served as the company’s Creative Director and Vice
President, Marketing.

Under his guidance as President, the company
copped its first major award in April 2001.
Recognized by the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and
the Financial Gleaner, Interlinc was bestowed their
Entrepreneurial Award for 2000. Marcel is also
spear-heading Interlinc's expansion drive in new
markets across the Caribbean and North America.
Marcel currently sits on the Board of
Caribbeat
Entertainment, a local entertainment industry
company, serving as Caribbeat’s Director for Online
Services. He is also a core-member of the
ICT4D Jamaica
Board, a non-profit, non-governmental organization
(NGO) that through the support of the IICD and
Jamaica's Heart Trust, acts as a lobby-group and
think-tank for the promotion of sustainable use of
ICT for National Development.
He has also chaired, as well as sat on, a number
of private sector & government-based sub-committees
in the areas of Information and Communications
Technology over the years.
In February of 2005 he opened up a new personal venture,
the Coco Loco Bar and Lounge, in Kingston, Jamaica.
Later that year in December 2005, his vision &
guidance, was instrumental in the creation of a new
division within Interlinc, called Intertel Networks,
which is to provide Broadband Voice-over IP (VoIP)
telephony services to Jamaican as well as Caribbean
customers.
Marcel graduated with Honors from the
University of the West Indies in 2000, with a B.A.
in Mass Communications. He is a member of the Young
Entrepreneurs Association (YEA), the Jamaica Chamber
of Commerce, the Private Sector Organization of
Jamaica and the Campion College Alumni Association.
